Howard Boville
Chief Executive Officer
Howard Boville is Chief Executive Officer of Coravel, the new hyperscale data center platform backed by ACS Group and Global Infrastructure Partners, built to deliver gigawatt-scale capacity for the hyperscalers, AI companies and enterprises racing to secure power and compute. He joins a founding team that has already done much of the hard early work—securing land and power and shaping the strategy—and his task is to take that foundation and scale it into one of the most ambitious infrastructure platforms in the market.
The scale is what makes this rare: 1.7 gigawatts of capacity coming online, a footprint that rivals the largest estates in the industry, and the chance to build a category-defining business with two of the world's most serious infrastructure backers behind it.
Howard brings experience that fits the work ahead. Much of his career has been spent on the other side of the table, as one of the demanding buyers this platform is built to serve—shaping how he thinks about reliability, security and speed-to-energization. As Group Chief Technology Officer at Bank of America, he ran a ~US$5 billion budget, 35+ data centers and the architecture, cloud and cybersecurity of one of the world's most regulated institutions, helped create the first public cloud built to financial-services standards, and drove more than US$2 billion in annual savings. As Senior Vice President at IBM, he scaled a global estate of 65 data centers and took out a further US$1 billion a year. Most recently, as President of DXC Technology, he ran a US$5.5 billion P&L and a 50,000-person business spanning cloud, cybersecurity, engineering and transformation.
What drew him to Coravel is the team and the opportunity in equal measure—strong backers, a real foundation already in place, and people building something that hasn't existed before. Howard advises boards, CEOs and investors on technology strategy, and earlier held senior roles at BT Global Services and Comcast.
